Scenario:
The Dietrich Lockard Group aids schools in the frustrating paperwork that they must fill out in order to receive money back from a federal program called E-rate. The paperwork is very difficult to complete, and most school's pass up hundreds of thousands in reimbursements because of this. Dietrich Lockard wanted to educate school administrators that their company was a solution to the problem. Production costs had to be kept low because E-rate is the smallest portion of Dietrich Lockard's business. Finally, a red 'easy'chair is Dietrich Lockard's mascot of sorts and needed to be incorporated.

It was determined that a postcard direct mail campaign would be an effective means of communication. The campaign slogan of "Find Change in the Chair" focused on how schools can find additional change ($) in the Dietrich Lockard chair. Each headline is meant to evoke feeling in the mind of the recipient, who has most likely experienced the E-rate paperwork hassle. The final card of E-Late is intended to create urgency, as a filing deadline was fast approaching.
The Dietrich Lockard Group had already received inquiries from several schools after only the first mailing and a follow-up calling campaign.
